Interpolating context heavily: I'm sorry for your loss.

I just left you a voicemail. Give me a call back when you get a chance (it's the 319 number).

I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to catch up with him. This is hitting us all really hard. If you wouldn't mind letting his other friends know, that would help -- we're trying to make sure everyone finds out before the (as of yet unscheduled) memorial service.

I have a post about it here (http://rabbi.vox.com/library/post/in-memoriam-eric-s-tiedemann-1966-2008.html), and will update my blog as I know more.

:/ I just heard from a mutual acquaintance that he had passed away, so went looking for more info, and found your post. Eric and I weren't close, but were friends, and had chatted online for many years. He stayed at my place in Denver one night when he was moving across the country. I probably last heard from him about a year ago, as we gave each other our life updates over IM. He was such a warm hearted guy. I had hoped to run into him again someday soon.

I wish I knew what to say. I'm stunned. I can only imagine his close friends must be feeling.

Everyone is pretty shocked, yeah. It's hard.

There will be a memorial, but I'm not sure when; tentative plans are to put that off a few weeks to give far-away people time to make travel plans. I can drop you a line when I know more, if you like.

Sorry to hear - He was a great guy
I just heard from a common friend. Very Sad. I knew Eric from the late 90s when he lived in Philadelphia. We spent much time together speaking about spiritual topics. He will be missed!
