I have no idea how the traffic-monitoring websites are still running, but it should surprise approximately no one that 101 is completely undriveable right now. (Non-locals: taking 101 is always a mistake.) Ditto 280, 680, 880 ... apparently it clears up a bit once you get past Livermore, but God only knows how long that'll take. When Houston evacuated for Hurricane Rita, a lot of the traffic was due to cars overheating and being stuck on the freeway. I wonder how many people will end up trapped in broken-down cars, unwilling to leave.
Another reason I should have stayed in Belgium: I live less than two miles from the marina, and
enochsmiles is the one who knows how to sail.
Anybody here know how to operate a sailboat? Come "liberate" one with me and I'll provide fire support along the way ...
