I was remiss in not posting about this before, but now here's photographic evidence: enochsmiles and I were married under the rotunda at City Hall in San Francisco, at 3:30pm on February 21, 2007. Thanks so much to ioerror for showing up on practically no notice to document the occasion. (Photos are in B/W and colour infrared, which is why there's so much red -- it gives an interesting sense of just how many shades of black there are.)

Although we put this together awfully quickly, several good friends also dropped everything and showed up to participate or just watch. est served as official witness, bramcohen was enochsmiles' Best Man (as had been discussed during the CodeCon '06 closing speech), and since I apparently can't do anything the gender-appropriate way, mycroftxxx flew out from Houston to be my maidman of honour. writerpo also got away from grading long enough to attend the ceremony, and you'll see him in the photos too.

We hadn't really planned on doing it this way -- sometimes legal necessities get in the way of ceremony, and that's all I'm going to say about that -- but ever since enochsmiles proposed to me back in early 2006 I've known that I'll be happy with him at my side. We complement each other, support each other, and give each other the confidence and strength to explore this strange world we've ended up in. I've married my best friend, and there's no better way of going about it than that.
